This is our Vincent Black Shadow race bike.
Until 2019 this was a road going Vincent (see picture below) when it was converted to race use for the Lansdowne Classic Championship and the Goodwood Revival.

Raced from 2019 to current date, the bike has been continuously developed and improved and in 2022 won the Lansdowne Championship and the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy at the Goodwood Revival for pre 1955 machines.
The Goodwood meeting is a two part, two rider race with pit stops for rider change and we were lucky to have BSB Champion Josh Brookes join our team. As well as a 1st and 2nd place in the two races, Josh took the Mick Hemmings Trophy for the fastest lap at Goodwood on the Vincent, and team mate Ben Kingham was awarded rider of the meeting.

Due to race regulations and rules, the bike must be as close as possible to period correct, and, while some more modern upgrades are allowed, it uses the original Vincent Girdraulic front forks as well as upper and rear frame members, brakes and suspension.
Modifications have been made to the geometry of the machine, to aid ground clearance and handling. Weight is 169 kg or 372 pounds.
The Vincent hubs are laced to 19” Alloy rims, and use 100 section tyres front and rear. While this is OK on the front, the rear would be better suited to a 130, but the rules do not allow it.
The 998cc engine is moderately tuned, with a view to reliability and rideability. Valves are standard and the Pistons are 9:1 compression ratio with Carrillo rods. Power is around 75bhp with 75 ft/lb of torque.
The carbs are Amal GP 1 1/4” and we use Tri-Spark ignition system running total loss.

We can build you a bike, based on the Vincent racer, or supply new Vincent engines and Vincent parts
